After moving to New York in the summer of 2017, Tawni worked as the executive savory chef for Maman: a café, bakery, and event space. Within her 28 months at Maman, Tawni opened four new locations, developed the s’mores cookie featured on Oprah’s O List (August 2019), the Michelin Guide-recommended vegan nutty chocolate chip cookie, created custom dishes for collaborating brand events, and curated menus and recipes for all nine locations in New York and Canada.
Tawni has also worked for party expert Darcy Miller, assisting in food and beverage styling for online, print and television segments such as Good Morning America, and LIVE! with Kelley and Ryan. Under her previous employers she has worked on online content for MarthaStewartLiving.com, RachelRay.com, Myrecipes.com, and DarcyMillerDesigns.com.
Moving forward, Tawni worked as the Event Chef and Food Coordinator for Poppy’s Catering in Brooklyn cooking, styling, and serving their beautiful dishes to the New York area. Throughout the pandemic, Tawni assisted owner Jamie Erickson in reformatting their neighborhood cafe to offer sustainable and nourishing provisions and food to go.
She made a year return to Portland, where Tawni produced pastry at Portland’s unmatched sourdough and whole grain bakery, Tabor Bread, while making spreads and sweets for the community under the name Pillow Talk.
Tawni currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY offering private chef and meal prep services.
